Richard “Dick” M. Skorburg

Owner

Dick Skorburg’s real estate experience is a blend of real estate brokerage, home building, land development, and business management.  His experience began in 1981 with the Hayden & Smith Company of Dallas.  After leading that firm in brokerage production, he established the Skorburg Company in 1985.  He also established the Chase Company in 1983, an outdoor billboard company.  He founded the Chase Company from scratch, and over 13 years, it grew into an operation of 124 signs in the DFW area and Los Angeles, California.  In 1996 Universal Outdoor, a firm based in Chicago, approached the Chase Company to purchase it; the purchase of the Chase Company was completed in the fall of 1996.

While continuing to operate the Skorburg Company and the Chase Company, in 1991 Dick established Windsor Homes Corporation, beginning home construction in Plano, Texas. The building company quickly expanded to Coppell, Texas, and built entry-level homes in Garland under the name of Wentwood Homes.  Finally, Windsor Homes expanded into the luxury market in the Park Cities area of Dallas several months later.

Broadening his focus in the real estate field, in 1996 Dick began to focus on new development opportunities and began developing single family subdivisions in Garland and Allen, Texas.  Additionally, he designed and developed a shopping center in the booming suburb of Southlake, Texas.  Since then, the Skorburg Company has grown and expanded into over a dozen markets, including Allen, Anna, Colleyville, Desoto, Fairview, Lucas, McKinney, Parker, Prosper, Sachse, Wylie, Midlothian, and Rockwall.

Dick graduated from Texas Christian University with a BBA and an MBA.  He is an avid golfer and a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.
